Good Morning! I hope you weekend was super. Mine was great and I got lots done around my abode and even squeezed in a little outdoor time. Did you feel the change in the air? I surely did and can’t tell you how much I’m looking forward to fall arriving in full force. One of the things that I’m most looking forward to is adding a few new pieces of jewelry to my fall wardrobe. I’ve seen such fabulous looks in all the fashion magazine and it has me in the mood to shop. Good thing one of the items on my to-do-list this week is a trip to the gift mart. Just so happens that on the 7th floor of building 3 there lies an enormous showroom full of on-trend fashion jewelry. I wish I could take pictures of the showroom to share with you but it is strictly forbidden. But I can share a look at three fall fashion trends I’ll be on the hunt for, Bold, Bling and Bodacious!
With the jewelry trends for fall such statement pieces, you’ll only need to wear one or two pieces to complete your outfit. This is the season to Go Big, or go Home and I for one will be going BIG!
Chain Jewelry: Left and middle from Nordstrom, right from Stella and Dot
Rhinestone/Glass Jewelry: All from Zara
Rings: Top row all from Macy’s, Bottom row from Kohl’s
Gone are the days when a simple chain necklace was the accessory of choice. The trend in jewelry has shifted to “more is better” and “bigger is best”. In 2013 it’s all about statement necklaces, bold bangles, multiple pieces and lots of layering. Sound like an easy look to pull together? Well, I’ve seen many a woman try to pull off this look with no luck. There’s an art to layering all those beautiful necklaces and bracelets you’re seeing in stores and on-line and I’m here to share a few styling tips with you, so you can layer your jewelry with confidence.
With so many summer sales going on, now is the perfect time to pick up a few bold colored necklaces that can carry you into fall. Be creative with mixing and matching your pieces and have fun creating looks that show off your personality.

I must admit that I am somewhat of a jewelry addict. I love jewelry of all sizes, shapes, colors and styles and am constantly on the lookout for new pieces to add to my “collection”.
One of my favorite new sources for fabulous fashion jewelry is Stella and Dot.
To give you a little background on Stella and Dot, they are a social selling company that conducts in-home trunk shows featuring their extensive line of stylish and chic jewelry. All of the Stella and Dot pieces are designed by celebrated New York designers and are exclusive to Stella and Dot.
Here’s a peek at some of their pieces…

Stella and Dot has recently added personal accessories like handbags, clutches and iPhone cases.
This fab bag is the Lafayette Cross Body and is part of the limited edition line S & D produces each season. $148.
And, just when you think it couldn’t get any better, Stella and Dot has their own exclusive candle, Joy. It is a blend of lime, mandarins, basil and white thyme. I’m burning this candle in my office and I wish you could smell it…such an incredible scent!
All of Stella and Dot items are shipped is these adorable boxes which are worth collecting in their own right!
I hope you can see why I love the Stella and Dot line so much. It’s full of fun, spirited, colorful and just plain pretty stuff!
Several months ago I connected via blogland with Melanie who writes the fabulous blog Lucky and Lovely and who just happens to be a Stella and Dot representative. Melanie sent me a Stella and Dot catalog and that is when my real love affair with their product began.
In getting to know Melanie, I mentioned to her that I am on the board of directors of a non-product organization in Atlanta called The Community Assistance Center. The organization’s mission is to bring together community resources to provide compassionate assistance to persons in need, prevent homelessness, alleviate hunger and promote self-sufficiency.
One of the annual charity events for CAC is a fashion show and sale. The sale features designer fashions and accessories at bargain prices. And, this year Stella and Dot jewelry will also be included in the event. Melanie has so graciously offered to accessorize the fashion show and Stella and Jewelry will be for sale! WooHoo!
This years event is taking place June 22nd (Pre-Sale and Fashion Show) and 23rd (open shopping) in North Atlanta. Click here for all the details and location.
I’ll be there Friday evening so if you get a chance, please stop by, say hello and shop!
It’s been fun sharing Stella and Dot with you. Take a minute to check out their full catalog and make sure to stop by Melanie’s blog to say hello!
p.s. This is not a paid endorsement for Stella and Dot…just sharing the things I love with my readers!

I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but over the last couple of years, jewelry styles have gotten bigger and bolder. Necklaces in particular are all about impact and Statement Necklaces will continue to be all the rage into Spring and Summer 2012. I’ve been in the process of updating my inspiration board and one of the greatest inspirations so far this year is the gorgeous EMERALD GREEN color that I am seeing everywhere, from fashion, to jewelry, to home decor.

All it takes is a little ribbon and some beautiful flowers.
Emerald Green is a great accent whether in a personal accessories, home decor accent or textile.
Why not paint a piece of furniture green to add drama and style to a space?

Just a touch of green mixed with another primary color.
What a great way to add personality to a neutral sofa or walls. Mix and match various patterns for high style.

Emerald Green surrounded by lighter tones of the color will give a room depth. And, mixed with chocolate brown, green makes the space lively.

Navy blue and white take on a less traditional feel when green is thrown into the mix. Use green in three or five places throughout the room to make the color pop feel intentional and connected.
I’m so loving this color, I decided to pull together a design inspiration board based on it.
